The message, from the account of Justine Sacco, the communications director for InterActiveCorp, better known as IAC, read: “Going to Africa. Hope I don’t get AIDS. Just kidding. Justine Sacco,is the chief communications director for IAC, headed by Barry Dillerthat represents brands like OKCupid, Match.com, The Daily Beast, Dictionary.com and BlackPeopleMeet.com, a dating site for African-Americans. IAC is based in New York City.
Barry Diller, IAC CEO media billionaire Barry Diller, reacted by calling Justine Sacco tweet ‘outrageous’ and ‘offensive.’
