July 3, 2022 by AFRIPOL Leave a Comment

Federal Republic of Nigeria’s council of Medical and Dental body have rejected and cancelled current degrees from Ukraine schools. Due to the war raging in Ukraine the schooling were transferred to online including medical classes. Nigeria governing council of medicine therefore have rejected those degrees that were obtained through online classes.

“We wish to inform the General Public that Medical and Dental Degree Certificates issued by Medical Schools from Ukraine from 2022 will NOT be honoured by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria until when normal academic activities resume.”

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria has not totally rejected all degrees from Ukraine expect those that were completed through online classes.

Nigerian students were evacuated from Ukraine as Russian troops were invading the country. The students only option of completing their medical and dental degrees that was open to them was via online. Now they have toiled, wasted their money and obtained their degrees. But the government of Nigeria have deemed them unqualified because they did not meet the stipulated criteria to practice on Nigerian soil.
